What's new about it
Reveal runs two AI-based processing systems at once: Speech AI, which analyzes and enhances speech, and Context AI, which preserves meaningful sounds from your surroundings, such as a doorbell or a colleague calling your name. The two re-evaluate the sound environment about 500 times per second and work together to balance speech and context, rather than favoring one over the other. This is Oticon's third generation of AI-based hearing aid technology, following Oticon More and Oticon Intent.
The Reveal Optimizer is Oticon's updated feedback-management system, designed to manage feedback (the whistling or squealing sound a hearing aid can produce, most often with open or vented fittings) more precisely than earlier generations. Reveal also continues Oticon's 4D sensor technology, adds a Streaming Comfort feature that automatically softens surrounding sound during calls or streaming, and introduces a new CROS transmitter and Deep Plum color option.

How fitting works for this device
Whichever brand you ultimately pick, the fit is what determines whether you actually hear better, not the brochure. Every Oticon fitting at our office includes:
- Comprehensive pre-fitting evaluation (~60 min)
A full diagnostic before any device is selected: audiogram, speech testing, medical and lifestyle history. We don't fit a device until we understand your hearing in full.
- Real Ear Measurement
A small probe microphone verifies that sound actually reaching your eardrum matches your prescription target, not just the manufacturer's factory default curve. Most offices skip this step. We consider it non-negotiable.
- Real-world demo period
You wear the device in your actual life: your kitchen, your commute, your favourite restaurant. Lab performance and real-world performance can diverge; the demo period is where you find out.
- Follow-up fine-tuning sessions (included)
Hearing changes with context. Follow-up appointments are included in the first 90 days. We stay with you until the fit is right.
