Questions we get most often.
Don't see yours below? Send a note in the form above. We'd rather answer it directly.
We'll talk through what you've been noticing, examine your ears with video otoscopy, and run a comprehensive hearing evaluation. You'll leave with a written summary, an audiogram you can read, and a plain-language plan, not a sales pitch.
We accept Medicare, Aetna, Cigna, Empire BCBS, UHC, and most major commercial plans. We verify your benefits before the appointment and present any out-of-pocket cost transparently, in writing, before any service is rendered.
Most plans don't require one for an audiology evaluation, but Medicare Advantage plans sometimes do. Tell us your plan when you book and we'll confirm before your visit so there are no surprises.
It depends on your audiogram, lifestyle, and the technology that fits both. We have great options across price tiers and will walk you through them honestly. Every fitting includes Real Ear Measurement, follow-ups, and a 45-day adjustment period, with no add-ons.
OTC devices can help mild loss for some people. They cannot, however, be verified to your eardrum the way a fitted hearing aid can. If you bought one and it isn't working, bring it in and we'll honestly tell you whether the device or the fitting is the problem.
Please do. A second set of ears in the room (no pun intended) helps with notes, questions, and decisions. We've found patients adjust faster when the people around them understand the plan too.

Yes. Tinnitus evaluations are a regular part of our clinic. We characterize what you are hearing (pitch, loudness, impact), rule out medical causes, and walk you through evidence-based options including sound therapy and counseling.
